I finally went to the Frida and Diego exhibit at the AGO. I loved seeing their work side by side and also the progression of Frida's own work. The two paintings above were among some of my favourites. It was worth seeing them in person because of their amazing colour, brush work and detail.
I LOVE photo booths! I took advantage of this one that Derek set up last weekend at the Nook Collective Holiday Sale, and had some silly shots taken with my family. Good times.
I have some illustrated tales, dramatic novels, books of poems and a few 'practical' guide books from the 1950's. I've leafed through all of them, I've read some of them and I cannot part with any.
Some of my favourites are 'Paws and Claws', a beautifully illustrated book of tame and wild animals from the late 1800's, 'Through the looking glass' by Lewis Carroll, two books of 'Grimms' Fairy Tales' and a copy of 'The World of Pooh'.
I collect a lot of things. Some very necessary, some extremely unnecessary. Buttons happen to be very beautiful and necessary, so I could in essence collect more, but that would require a very necessary shelf or two or twelve to keep them tidy.
Covet Garden! An online magazine created by Lynda Felton, Jessica Reid and Rhonda Riche with such interesting articles about people and their spaces. This is their third issue, and while it's really tempting to start here, start from issue one! My friend and fellow illustrator Julia Breckenreid's space is featured!
